Opportunity to help cure blood cancer

On Tuesday 19th March, at the Campus Centre, we need YOU to help DMU cure blood cancer.

The Mile2 Project are working with the Rik Basra Leukaemia Campaign and blood cancer charity the Anthony Nolan Trust to recruit new donors from the healthy student population.

WHO Can Donate:
The ideal donor is between 16-30, weighs over 51kg and has a BMI of under 35.

WHY YOU should donate:
There are around 1700 people in the UK in need of a blood stem cell transplant and this is usually their last chance of survival. We can only find a suitable donor for around half of the people that need one.

Registering is easy – all it takes is a short medical form to confirm you’re eligible, and to spit into a tube so your biological info can be used to match you with patients.

If you’re ever a match for someone, donating is simple too!

For more information visit - http://www.anthonynolan.org/

HOW YOU can donate:
Come to our event at the Campus Centre on 19th March between 9.00 am – 4.00pm
